French fries kiosk franchise chain Potato Corner has won the Franchise of the Year award at the 2013 Filipino Franchise Show organized by the Association of the Filipino Franchisers, local media reported.

“We are very excited to expand our dynamic group of franchisees. Because aside from having a lucrative investment, being a Potato Corner franchisee makes you a part of a global brand that has made the country proud for the past 21 years,” the company’s CEO, Joe Magsaysay, said.

Potato Corner recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. The company is investing aggressively in innovation and expansion. The brand is entering new domestic and international markets. It will introduce new flavors for its next birthday, Potato Corner’s CEO was quoted as saying at the ceremony.

“The promise of franchising Potato Corner is growing faster today and I can say confidently that there is definitely a higher rate of success in this venture compared to creating a new brand,” Magsaysay added.

The chain, through master franchise partnerships, currently has presence  in the Philippines, the USA, Indonesia, Panama, Malaysia, Eqypt, Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
