High-nutrition restaurant retail chain Jamba Juice Company has entered into a master franchise deal to open 80 branded Jamba Juice stores within the next ten years in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, the company said in a press release in the beginning of 2014.

The first Jamba Juice store in the region is planned to open in Dubai in 2014.

The company has awarded the contract for the Middle East region to Foodmark, the Food and Beverage division of Landmark Group, one of the leading retail organizations in the Middle East and India.

“The region will be a fantastic market for Jamba Juice. The product offering is very relevant for our consumers, who are increasingly looking for healthier food and beverage alternatives, and embracing the global healthy and active lifestyle trends,” Foodmark’s chief operating officer was quoted as saying in the press release.

Jamba Juice, founded in 1990, has nearly 850 units worldwide as of October 1, 2013, according to the company’s press release. It offers healthy specialty beverages and food including smoothies, juices, hot oatmeal and breakfast wraps.

Foodmark operates some 1,600 units in 19 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region and India. The company runs several restaurant brands in the region.
