Bulgaria’s Mania to expand international franchise network in Europe

Bulgarian second hand fashion retailer Mania plans to expand its franchise network in Europe to 200 units by 2020.

Mania operates 50 franchises in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece.

The retailer will focus its expansion in neighbouring Romania and Greece.

The company entered Romania in 2008. It also operates two units in Greece, where it plans to grow its franchise network to 20 stores within a three-year period. Mania’s operation in Greecce will be managed by a franchisee who already operates stores in Bulgaria.

 “A priority for us are the markets in Greece and Romania, which are similar [to the Bulgarian one] and have great potential [for development],”Sevdalin Spasov, head of  Mania’s parent,Mania Team, said in a press release.

The company is seeking entrepreneurs to join its network in Romania and Bulgaria.

Mania employs 500, 100 of which were hired in 2013 when 10 new stores opened.
