Creative Learning Corporation, a developer of children’s educational and enrichment programmes, has awarded its first Irish franchise deal under the Bricks 4 Kidz brand to a local family in Belfast.

Franchisees Barbara and Robert Symington will operate the 522 unit of the Bricks 4 Kidz franchise.

Creative Learning Corporation owns and develops Bricks 4 Kidz and Challenge Island programmes for children ages 3-12 through a franchise business model. Bricks 4 Kidz is based on the operation of after-school classes using LEGO blocks as the basis of engaging activities where children learn while having fun.

Belfast's was selected as the first location in Ireland because of its relatively young population. Out of almost 300,000, full 44% are aged 30 and under.

“The young median age of the citizen's of Belfast compliments our target demographic perfectly,” Brian Pappas, CEO of Creative Learning Corporation, was quoted as saying in a press relese.

By starting its first unit in Ireland, Creative Learning Corporation, which is based in the U.S., now operated franchises in 26 country. The company also helps children enhance their problem solving and critical thinking skills in Malaysia, Egypt, Bolivia, Romania and Indonesia, among others.
